about prometheus
hey there! welcome to my humble blog. i am prometheus, but you can call me promi if you'd like. i chose the name when i was revamping my blog and while doing so, i was watching frankenstein by guillermo del torro and immediately became engrossed with the aesthetic of the movie. this led me to read the original novel written by mary shelley where i discovered that the story itself was inspired by the myth of prometheus. what fascinated me most was how this entire literary legacy began from a single summer night when mary shelley, percy shelley, dr john polidori and lord byron took part in a ghost story challenge. that moment eventually gave birth to one of the most influential works in literature. i also chose "prometheus" because he represents knowledge, intellect and defiance against tyranny which resonates strongly with my personal values and what motivates me the most.
